CM Conrad Sangma Inaugurates Anti-Terror Squad, Felicitates Police Personnel

Shillong, Sept. 29: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma today inaugurated the state’s Anti-Terror Squad (ATS), an elite police unit dedicated to combating terrorism and safeguarding citizens from anti-national threats. The newly formed ATS is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening internal security and reinforcing the state’s commitment to a safer and stronger society.

Speaking at the inauguration, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of equipping law enforcement with specialized capabilities to tackle emerging security challenges.

On the occasion, Mr. Sangma also felicitated police personnel for their exemplary service in swiftly resolving critical cases, including the recent Raja and Sonam Raghuvanshi case. He lauded their professionalism and dedication, noting that their efforts have not only ensured justice but also enhanced public trust in the police force.
