Phek, July 17, 2025: Project RAKSHAK-2, an initiative to improve public safety and streamline traffic management, was officially launched today in Phek by Superintendent of Police Dr. Pritpal Kaur, IPS.
The project introduces a multi-faceted approach including installation of CCTV cameras for monitoring, the setting up of 60 road dividers at strategic junctions, and ongoing traffic awareness seminars aimed at educating the public.
A collaborative effort, Project RAKSHAK-2 brings together Phek Police, the District Administration, Transport Department, NGOs, the Chamber of Commerce, PTCSU (Phek Town Chamber of Student Union), and PTYSU (Phek Town Youth and Students' Union).

The road divider installation was executed by SDPO Phek, Officer-in-Charge of Phek Police Station, along with the presidents and volunteers from PTCSU and PTYSU.
Officials hope the project will foster greater road discipline, reduce accidents, and enhance safety for all road users in the district.
