Moscow/St. Petersburg, July 17: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio concluded a significant official visit to Russia, engaging with key diplomats and officials in both Moscow and St. Petersburg to foster stronger India-Russia relations and people-to-people connectivity.
During his two-day visit to St. Petersburg, CM Rio met with Ms. Neelam Rani, IFS, Consul General of India, and expressed gratitude for her exemplary service and excellent arrangements. He also held a productive meeting with Mr. Evgeny Grigoriev, Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg, where they discussed avenues for collaboration and deepening bilateral ties.
Earlier in Moscow, the Chief Minister visited the headquarters of Russia Today (RT), where he met senior officials and participated in a media interview with RT International. Expressing optimism, Rio welcomed the news of RT soon launching its India bureau, calling it a significant step in enhancing cultural understanding and media cooperation between the two nations.

The Consulate General of India in St. Petersburg also acknowledged Rio’s visit, stating it would contribute to strengthening mutual understanding and collaboration between local governments.
