MSPDCL Launches Smart Prepaid Meter Installation Drive Across Imphal Divisions

Imphal, July 9, 2025: In a significant move to enhance power supply reliability and consumer convenience, the Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited (MSPDCL) has initiated the installation of Smart Prepaid Meters under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) across Imphal Electrical Divisions I, II & III.

The installation is being carried out by M/s Sangai Smart Metering Pvt. Ltd., the authorized agency selected by MSPDCL. Consumers are urged to fully cooperate with installation teams and are reminded that no charges will be collected for the installation process.

Key Instructions for Consumers:

No fees are to be paid for meter installation.

Installation personnel are only authorized to install meters and should not be assigned other tasks.

Awareness pamphlets will be distributed during visits to educate consumers on meter usage and recharge processes.

Consumers are encouraged to use the Urja Seva Sangai App or MSPDCL Smart Meter App to monitor electricity usage, balance, and recharges.
