Jiribam, July 11, 2025: In response to growing public inconvenience, traffic disruptions, and safety hazards caused by unauthorized structures, the District Administration of Jiribam, Government of Manipur, has issued a strict directive for the removal of all encroachments from public spaces by 3:00 PM on July 18, 2025.
The order mandates the clearing of unauthorized sheds, shops, structures, and debris from town areas and public roads under the provisions of the Manipur Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorized Occupants) Act, 1978.

The administration has warned that non-compliance will lead to legal action, including eviction and demolition at the cost of the encroachers. Authorities have urged residents and shop owners to voluntarily comply to avoid enforcement action.
The initiative aims to restore safe, accessible, and obstruction-free public spaces in Jiribam, ensuring smoother traffic flow and improved public safety. The District Administration has sought public cooperation in implementing this civic measure.
