Aizawl, July 3, 2025: Lok Sabha MP from Mizoram, Pu Richard Vanlalhmangaiha, expressed concern over the declining number of Mizos in All India and Central Services, urging the youth to pursue these prestigious fields with renewed determination.
Speaking at an event organized by the Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP) General Headquarters at the I&PR Auditorium, Aizawl, to felicitate the 2025 undergraduate gold medalists, the MP emphasized the importance of representation in top national services. He highlighted that although few are currently preparing seriously for such roles, he remains committed to supporting aspiring candidates and mentoring those who face challenges.
The event was presided over by MZP Vice President Dr. C. Lalremruata, and graced by Aizawl Deputy Commissioner Pu Lalhriatpuia and MZP President Pu H. Lalthianghlima, who also addressed the gathering.
The following students were felicitated as gold medalists in their respective streams:
• Lalremsiama (Political Science) – Pachhunga University College (Arts)
• R. Lalngaihawmi – Higher and Technical Institute of Mizoram (Commerce)
• Mary Lalawmpuii (Home Science) – Govt. Zirtiri Residential Science College (Science)
• Lalruatfela Chhakchhuak – Govt. Zirtiri Residential Science College (Computer Application)
