Aizawl, June 15, 2025: Today marks the 90th anniversary of the Young Mizo Association (YMA) - the largest philanthropic organization in Mizoram - widely observed across the state and beyond as YMA Day.
As the day falls on a Sunday this year, many YMA branches organized events based on their own convenience, with some observing the occasion as early as Friday and others on Saturday. Commemorations included community service, social gatherings, games, cultural events, and thanksgiving programs held at YMA Halls across various localities.
Branches across all districts of Mizoram, including the five Sub-Headquarters in Champhai, Kolasib, Lunglei, Mamit, and Serchhip, actively participated. Observations were also held in YMA branches and groups located in other Northeastern states like Assam, Tripura, Manipur, Meghalaya, and Nagaland, as well as in Bangladesh, where YMA maintains a presence.
