Agartala, June 13, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha today inaugurated the state-of-the-art advanced radiotherapy services at ILS Hospital in Agartala, a milestone achieved through a strategic partnership with the International Oncology Care Institute (IOCI).
The new initiative, marked by the unveiling of a cutting-edge LINAC (Linear Accelerator) machine, aims to greatly enhance cancer treatment capabilities in the region. According to the hospital, the LINAC technology enables precise radiation therapy, improving treatment efficacy while minimizing side effects.
During the ceremony, Dr. Saha emphasised the government’s dedication to expanding healthcare access across Tripura, especially for critical conditions like cancer. The enhanced service at ILS Hospital is expected to reduce the need for patients to travel outside the state for advanced oncology care, offering hope and convenience to thousands of families.
