Dimapur, June 3, 2025: The National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN) has issued a strong public clarification urging vigilance among Nagas amidst what it describes as coordinated efforts to derail the Indo-Naga political talks and weaken the Naga political movement.

In a detailed statement, the NSCN accused certain factions - both internal and external of attempting to steer the political dialogue towards a settlement within the Indian Constitution, which it asserts contradicts the core aspirations of the Naga people. The group expressed concern over the fragmentation of the Naga movement into 28 factions, many allegedly supported by the Government of India (GoI).

The NSCN highlighted alleged threats from Kuki-Chin groups, specifically the Kuki National Army-Burma (KNA-B), which it claims has collaborated with pro-democracy forces to launch attacks against NSCN strongholds in Eastern Nagalim (present-day Myanmar). According to the statement, these efforts are viewed as part of a broader campaign to eliminate the Naga presence in the region.

Recalling their July 2024 statement, "A Fervent Appeal," the group reiterated earlier warnings about threats to Naga sovereignty and territory. They commemorated the sacrifice of late Captain Rs. Winson, who was reportedly killed in June 2024 near Angko Ching Range in a clash with KNA-B forces.

The NSCN also condemned what it called “fabricated letters and documents” being circulated from within the Council and its General Headquarters, accusing some individuals of undermining the movement by submitting falsified reports to the NSCN/GPRN leadership.

Reaffirming its commitment to the Naga cause, the NSCN reiterated its adherence to the Framework Agreement signed with the Government of India on 3rd August 2015 and called any deviation from this path "anti-national." The organization stated it has maintained its base in Eastern Nagalim under extremely harsh conditions, asserting that it has never deviated from the Naga national principle.

“Let us not fall prey to the traps and deceptions of our enemies,” the statement warned, while calling on Nagas to remain steadfast and united. It concluded with a reaffirmation of their dedication to the political movement and a call to expose and resist all entities working against Naga aspirations.
