Tura, June 20, 2025: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma today launched ‘Mission Aman’ A’song, an advanced land management and revenue administration system aimed at modernizing land records in the Garo Hills region.
Implemented under the jurisdiction of the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC), the mission seeks to survey, map, and digitize A’king land, which includes both community-held and privately owned lands. The initiative is designed to clearly demarcate land boundaries, reduce disputes, and enhance transparency in land ownership and governance.
“This is a remarkable step towards protecting land in the region,” said the Chief Minister while congratulating the GHADC for spearheading the initiative. He emphasized that the new system will bring in efficiency, legal clarity, and data-driven governance in the administration of land and resources.

Mission Aman’ A’song is expected to benefit local communities, traditional landowners, and future infrastructure planning by providing an accurate and accessible digital record of land holdings in Garo Hills. It also marks a significant move toward integrated and sustainable land governance in tribal areas.
The initiative reflects the Meghalaya government’s broader push for digital transformation, tribal rights protection, and grassroots development across the state.
