Serchhip, June 5, 2025: Mizoram Chief Minister and Serchhip MLA, Pu Lalduhoma, today visited various locations in his constituency affected by landslides and other damages caused by heavy rains in recent days. His inspection included areas in and around Serchhip town that have suffered severe impact due to the ongoing monsoon.
The Chief Minister expressed deep concern over the widespread destruction and said the situation was grave, particularly due to the intensity of the rain-triggered disasters. He emphasized that not only homes but also farmlands and local infrastructure had been badly damaged.
Speaking to local residents and community leaders, Pu Lalduhoma assured that those affected by the calamity would be provided necessary assistance. He noted that the government would explore every possible means to extend relief and rehabilitation support to the victims, especially in cases of significant loss and damage.

Accompanying the Chief Minister during the visit were Serchhip Deputy Commissioner Pu Paul L Khuma and other senior government officials, along with village council leaders and members of the Serchhip ZPM Block Committee. The team listened to the grievances of affected families and assessed on-ground needs for timely intervention.
