Shillong, June 3, 2025, Virthli: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Tuesday unveiled the foundation stones for two key social welfare infrastructure projects aimed at supporting vulnerable groups in the state.
At Nongstoin, the Chief Minister laid the foundation for a Children’s Home, which will provide shelter, care, and protection for children in need. In Shillong, he also initiated the construction of a One Stop Center at Ganesh Das Hospital to support women affected by violence, offering integrated services such as medical aid, legal support, and counseling.

“These initiatives reflect our commitment to building a safer and more supportive environment for women and children,” Sangma said.
