Kohima, June 5, 2025: Nagaland Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio was today presented with a rare, unpublished photograph believed to date back to the early 1900s. Titled “Of a bygone era,” the undated image captures a group of individuals, possibly from a central Tenyimia village, offering a glimpse into the state’s rich cultural past.
The photograph was presented to the Chief Minister at his Official Residential Office in Kohima by Advisor for Information & Public Relations and Soil & Water Conservation, Imkong L Imchen, along with officials from the Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR).

Dr. Rio expressed appreciation for the historic artifact, highlighting its significance in preserving the cultural memory of Nagaland. He emphasized the importance of documenting and safeguarding such rare pieces of history for future generations.
