Guwahati, June 8, 2025: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma chaired a high-level meeting with senior officials of the Finance Department to review key administrative and welfare issues in the state.
The meeting focused on three major areas:
1. Assam Police Promotions:
The Chief Minister reviewed service matters under the Assured Career Progression Scheme (ACPS), specifically discussing promotions within Assam Police, including the progression from Constable to Havildar rank.
2. Financial Powers under DFPR 2022:
A detailed discussion was held on the Delegation of Financial Powers Rules (DFPR) 2022, with particular attention to the financial authority exercised by the Director General of Police (DGP), Superintendents of Police (SPs), and Commandants.
3. Orunodoi 3.0 Progress:
The rollout and district-wise implementation of Orunodoi 3.0, the state’s flagship welfare scheme aimed at empowering women and providing direct financial benefits to vulnerable households, were also reviewed.

The Chief Minister emphasized efficiency, transparency, and accountability in implementation and assured continuous monitoring to ensure timely delivery of benefits and services.
