Dispur, June 24, 2025: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma held a high-level courtesy meeting today with UNICEF India Country Representative Ms. Cynthia McCaffrey at his office in Lok Sewa Bhawan, Dispur. The meeting highlighted mutual interest in enhancing cooperation for the welfare and development of Assam.
Key areas of discussion included strengthening ongoing collaborative efforts to improve health, education, and child welfare in the state. The leaders explored scalable models and best practices that could be replicated in other states across India.

Support from UNICEF in fortifying Assam’s Chief Minister’s Dashboard and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Cell was also a key agenda point. The two sides further discussed potential partnerships with the Assam CSR Authority to harness corporate social responsibility for impactful development initiatives.
