Guwahati, June 25, 2025: In a major step towards transforming Assam into a global cultural hub, the Assam Tourism Development Corporation (ATDC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BigTree Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., the parent company of BookMyShow, for hosting international music events in the state.
The MoU was signed today in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma at Lok Sewa Bhawan. The partnership aims to bring world-class concerts and music festivals to Assam, marking a new era in the state’s cultural and tourism landscape.
“This agreement is a testimony of faith in Assam’s growing capability to host global-standard events,” said CM Sarma, adding that it will boost tourism, youth engagement, and the creative economy of the state.

With this collaboration, BookMyShow will also serve as the one-stop ticketing platform for all such events in Assam, making the process seamless and user-friendly for attendees.
The move is expected to place Assam on the global events map, attracting international performers and large audiences from across the country and beyond.
