ABAVP Seeks Urgent Support for Adivasi Communities Amid Manipur Unrest

New Delhi, June 4, 2025: A delegation from the Akhil Bharatiya Adivasi Vikas Parishad (ABAVP) met with Shri Faggan Singh Kulaste, Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, at his residence in New Delhi to discuss the ongoing crisis affecting Adivasi communities in Manipur.

The delegation included Ms. Marina Singson (Zonal Vice President, North East), Mr. Barukh and Mr. Hemin (State Vice Presidents, Manipur), and Mr. Lenin (Member, North East Team), and was accompanied by Shri Luckybhau Jadhav, ABAVP National Youth President.

During the meeting, the team raised urgent concerns regarding the displacement of tribal populations, inadequate rehabilitation efforts, and threats to Adivasi rights in the wake of the unrest in the state. They appealed for immediate intervention and long-term parliamentary oversight to ensure the protection and welfare of the affected communities.
