Imphal, June 17, 2025: In a significant development, the Government of Manipur has promoted a total of 11 Judicial Officers under the Manipur Judicial Service (MJS) in two separate orders issued by the Law & Legislative Affairs Department, Secretariat, Manipur.
On the recommendation of the High Court of Manipur and under the provisions of the Manipur Judicial Service Rules, 2005, the Governor of Manipur approved.
Promotion to MJS Grade-I
Four MJS Grade-II Officers have been promoted to MJS Grade-I on a regular basis under Level (J-5) pay scale of ₹1,44,840 – ₹1,94,660. The officers are:
1. Janggoulen Haokip
2. Ashem Tarunakumari Devi
3. K. Nirojit
4. Masana Evangeline Panmei
Promotion to MJS Grade-II
Seven MJS Grade-III Officers have been promoted to MJS Grade-II under Level (J-3) pay scale of ₹1,11,000 – ₹1,63,030. The officers are:
1. Sarungbam Mangaleibii Devi
2. Ningombam Sofiarani Devi
3. Kshetrimayum Maheta Devi
4. Leonid Ahanthlem
5. Nemkholam Lhungdim
6. Robert Lhungdim
7. Phungreishung P.A.
According to the orders signed by Suzane Thingbajiam, Deputy Secretary (Law), the promotions will be effective from the date of joining their respective posts. All promoted officers shall serve on an officiating basis for a period of two years.
The expenditure towards these appointments will be met from the relevant Head of Accounts under Demand No. 26 - Administration of Justice.

The orders have been circulated to concerned departments, including the High Court of Manipur, District & Sessions Judges, and other key administrative offices.
