Aizawl, May 10 (UNI): Three underage boys were found to be behind a series of church defilement in Kolasib in northern Mizoram during the last few months.

The accused were handed over to Kolasib police by their parents on Thursday, Kolasib police said.

Their suspicious parents interrogated them and the trio confessed to committing the crime. Then their parents brought them to the police station, sources said.

Sources said the kids, aged 14, 15 and 18, are inmates of a hostel of a prominent English medium school in Kolasib. They sneaked out of the hostel in the death of the night and committed the sinister activities.

They collected Bibles and hymn books from different churches and burnt them on the dance floor on top of a Satanic sign scrawled, the sources said.

The youths have defiled at least three churches of different denominations since recently.
