Churachandpur, November 11, 2025: Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Ajay Tamta, visited Churachandpur today to review the progress of various developmental and welfare initiatives implemented under Central and State schemes.
Upon his arrival at the Mini Secretariat, the Minister was received by Deputy Commissioner Shri Dharun Kumar S, along with district-level officers, representatives of internally displaced persons (IDPs), and beneficiaries of government programmes.
A special programme was held in the Conference Hall of the Mini Secretariat, where the district administration reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive growth and welfare. During the event, awards were presented to five IDP students who excelled in board examinations, symbolising the government’s continued emphasis on education and support for displaced families.
The Minister also distributed benefits under several flagship schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PM-FME), Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY), Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), and the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY).
Participants who excelled in various competitions organised to mark Jan Jatiya Gaurav Diwas 2025 were also felicitated. Shri Tamta presented special awards to Smt Lalthazam, CEO of ADCC; Shri Seiminthang, ADC Churachandpur; and two Aspirational Blocks Programme (ABP) Fellows in recognition of their outstanding contributions to local development efforts.
Following the felicitation ceremony, the Union Minister conducted a comprehensive review meeting with officials from multiple departments and aspirational blocks. He appreciated their work, encouraged sustained efforts toward effective implementation, and assured continued Central Government support to strengthen development and address local challenges.
