New Delhi, November 4, 2025: In a historic move, prominent leaders from across the North Eastern states have announced their decision to come together to form a unified political entity that will represent the collective aspirations of the region.

North East Leaders Unite to Form a Common Political Platform

The joint declaration was made today in New Delhi by Shri Pradyot Bikram Manikya (Founder, TIPRA Motha), Shri Conrad K. Sangma (Chief Minister of Meghalaya and NPP National President), Shri Mmhonlumo Kikon (former BJP National Spokesperson and Nagaland Minister), and Shri Daniel Langthasa (Founder, People’s Party).

The leaders emphasized that for too long, the voices of the North East have been fragmented across different political platforms despite sharing the same concerns. “Our strength lies in unity, and it’s time to give our people one collective voice,” the leaders stated jointly.

They announced the formation of a committee to deliberate on the structure and roadmap of the proposed political front, which aims to create a stronger indigenous voice for the region at the national level.

“This marks the beginning of a united effort to build a stronger, more inclusive, and self-reliant North East,” the statement concluded.
