Aizawl, September 12, 2025: Transport Minister Pu Vanlalhlana today officially announced the unique registration codes for the District Transport Offices (DTOs) of the newly created districts of Saitual, Khawzawl and Hnahthial. The announcement was made in the presence of local MLAs who formally drew lots to determine the codes, with senior officers of the Transport Department assisting in the process.
During the event, Transport Director Er. R. Lalrammawia highlighted the importance of the new codes and the groundwork undertaken for opening DTO offices in the three districts. He noted that streamlining registration codes before the offices are made operational is essential, and confirmed that the DTOs are expected to be formally inaugurated by October.

In the allotment process, Rural Development and Administration Minister and Tawi MLA, Prof. Lalnilawma, drew MZ09 for Saitual DTO. Deputy Government Chief Whip and Tuichang MLA, Pu W. Chhuanawma, drew MZ10 for Khawzawl DTO, while Hnahthial DTO was allotted MZ11.
