IMPHAL, September 1, 2025: The Government of Manipur has achieved a significant milestone in its efforts to promote organic farming, with a 17-member team from the Manipur Organic Mission Agency (MOMA) securing agreements worth over ₹15 crores at BIOFACH India 2025. The premier organic expo was held at the India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida.
The team, representing the Department of Horticulture & Soil Conservation and the Department of Agriculture, facilitated deals for the procurement and contract farming of some of Manipur’s finest organic produce. This includes key products like Ginger, Turmeric, Chakhao (Black Aromatic Rice), King Chilli, Garlic, Red Quinoa, Moringa, Black Rajma, and Ashwagandha.
