IMPHAL, September 1, 2025: The Department of Science & Technology, Government of Manipur, has completed the distribution of eight Solar Water Heaters, each with a 200 LPD capacity and a 1000L water tank, under the State Level Integrated Rural Energy Programme (IREP). This initiative is part of the government's ongoing effort to encourage the use of sustainable energy solutions and promote a cleaner, greener Manipur.
The solar heaters have been installed in various government residential schools, community hostels, and college and university hostels across eight districts. The project serves as a demonstration to highlight the practical and energy-efficient benefits of renewable solutions to the public.

• NSCBAV Hostel, Konjeng Junior High School, Moirang Patlou Leikai (Bishnupur)
• Netaji Subash Chandra Bose Awasiya Vidyalaya Residential School, Lamboikhongnangkhong (Imphal West)
• Model Residential School, Mantri Pantha Village (Chandel)
• Ukhrul Higher Secondary School, Wino Bazar (Ukhrul)
• Lungnila Elizabeth College, Senapati District HQ (Senapati)
• Working Women cum Girls Hostel, Dewlaland (Imphal East)
• Angels' Place, Bungmual (Churachandpur)
