Siaha, July 17, 2025: A 20-year-old woman narrowly escaped death after being stabbed in the neck under mysterious circumstances in Siaha’s Vaihpi III locality late Wednesday night.
The victim, identified as Good Friday-i, was reportedly asleep in a room shared with her younger male cousin when the incident occurred around 11 PM. According to initial accounts, it was raining at the time when an unknown assailant allegedly entered the room, covered her mouth, and stabbed her in the neck before fleeing the scene.
Despite her injury, the victim managed to alert her cousin, telling him she was bleeding. He immediately informed other family members sleeping in adjacent rooms, and they rushed her to the hospital. She is currently under medical care, and her condition is reported to be stable.
The young woman was rushed to a hospital, where she is currently receiving medical treatment. Her condition has been reported as stable.

The motive and identity of the attacker remain unclear. Police have launched a full investigation and are collecting statements from family members and others close to the case. As of now, no arrests have been made.
Originally from Phura, the victim had been living in Siaha for her studies. The disturbing nature of the attack has sparked alarm and speculation within the local community.
