Shillong, July 7, 2025: Meghalaya Police has brought international glory to the state and the country, with two of its officers clinching top honours at the BHM 2025 Police & Fire Games held in Birmingham, Alabama, USA.
Shri Alan Marbaniang won Gold in the Arm Wrestling – 90 kg (30+ years, Right Hand) category, showcasing strength and skill on the global stage.
Meanwhile, Smti Wandalin Syiemiong delivered a stunning performance, securing a double Gold in the Arm Wrestling – 65 kg (30+ years) category in both Left and Right Hand events.
Their victories mark a proud moment not only for the Meghalaya Police but also for India, highlighting the athletic excellence and competitive spirit of the country's law enforcement personnel. The state government and the Meghalaya Police Department have extended their heartfelt congratulations to both athletes for their outstanding achievements.
