The meeting saw active and enthusiastic participation from various sections of the Kuki-Zo public. Over three hours of intense discussions, community members shared their concerns and perspectives, contributing to what KZC described as a "positive and productive" dialogue.
While important resolutions were adopted during the meeting, the KZC stated it would withhold them from public release at this stage. According to the Council, this move is intended to allow broader consultations across other Kuki-Zo inhabited districts before finalizing any public positions. “Critical decisions must reflect the collective voice of the entire Kuki-Zo community,” the KZC emphasized.
To this end, the Council plans to hold a series of similar meetings in the days ahead, gathering feedback from diverse communities. A consolidated and comprehensive resolution is expected to be released once consultations are complete.
The Kuki-Zo Council also extended its appreciation to the people of Kangpokpi for their active participation and reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive and transparent decision-making in these difficult times.
The press release was issued by Ginza Vualzong, Secretary of Information and Publicity, Kuki-Zo Council.
