Imphal, July 12, 2025: A delegation representing Bar Associations from various hill districts of Manipur met with the Hon’ble Governor Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla today at Raj Bhavan, raising concerns over the lack of judicial infrastructure in their respective regions.
The legal representatives apprised the Governor of the challenges faced in conducting judicial proceedings, citing the inadequacy of court infrastructure in many hill areas, which has adversely impacted access to justice for local communities.

The Governor gave the delegation a patient and sympathetic hearing, acknowledging the seriousness of the concerns. He assured them that appropriate steps will be taken to address the issues at the earliest.
The meeting was also attended by the Commissioner (Law), Government of Manipur, further underscoring the administration’s attention to the matter.
