Serchhip, July 11, 2025: In a major crackdown on narcotics, the Serchhip Drugs Disposal Committee today destroyed various seized illegal drugs worth over ₹55.88 lakh at the Serchhip Police Station premises.
The disposed substances, seized during 2023–2025, included:
• 187 grams of Heroin (from 6 cases)
• 2.92 kilograms of Ganja (from 1 case)
• 3.88 kilograms of Methamphetamine (from 1 case)
The disposal was carried out under strict procedures in the presence of key officials, including SP Serchhip Pu Gavit Gogna, IPS, SDO (Sadar) Pi Rebecca Laldinmawii Hrahsel, Addl. SP Pu Saidingliana Sailo, and OC Excise & Narcotics Pu R. Lalrinsanga, along with members of the press.
