Shillong, July 11, 2025: Hon’ble Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman visited the Shillong Tech Park at New Shillong today, where she was warmly received by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma.
During the visit, the Chief Minister apprised the Finance Minister of Phase 2 of the Tech Park project and shared insights into key upcoming developments in the region. These include the New Meghalaya State Secretariat, and the state’s broader vision to establish Administrative and Knowledge Cities in the New Shillong area.

Taking to social media, CM Sangma expressed his gratitude for the Union Minister’s visit and support. “So glad to have Hon’ble Union Minister for Finance, Smti. @nsitharaman visit the Shillong Tech Park at New Shillong,” he posted.
The Shillong Tech Park is envisioned as a catalyst for innovation, employment, and entrepreneurship in the state, supporting Meghalaya’s drive towards becoming a hub for digital and knowledge-based industries.
