Imphal, June 4, 2025, Virthli: Security forces in Manipur carried out intensified search operations and area domination patrols across vulnerable and fringe areas in both the hill and valley districts as part of ongoing efforts to maintain law and order in the state.
According to official sources, a total of 111 Nakas/Checkpoints were established across various districts. These checkpoints, spread across both hill and valley regions, reported no detentions during the latest operations.
In a significant recovery, Manipur Police reported the seizure of multiple arms and ammunition from Yairipok Changamdabi Chingya, located under Andro Police Station in Imphal East District. The recovered items include:
01 INSAS Rifle (5.56 mm) with magazine
01 Lathode Gun
10 rounds of .303 live ammunition
06 rounds of 7.62 mm live ammunition
06 rounds of 5.56 mm live ammunition
