Imphal, June 7, 2025: The Governor of Manipur, Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, chaired a series of high-level review meetings at Raj Bhavan, focusing on two key national initiatives - the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP).
In the session on ITEP, the Hon’ble Governor underscored the critical role of developing future-ready educators to meet the goals of NEP 2020. He stressed the need for transformative training and holistic curriculum design to shape high-quality teaching professionals.

During the review of the NTEP, Governor Bhalla evaluated the state's progress toward the goal of a TB-free India by 2025, a vision championed by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The Governor called for intensified awareness, early detection, and community involvement to accelerate TB elimination efforts across Manipur.
