Manipur Flood Update: Over 1.65 Lakh Affected, Relief Efforts Underway

Imphal, June 4, 2025: The Government of Manipur has issued an urgent flood alert as light rains continue to impact several districts. According to the Daily Situation Report released at 6:30 PM today, a total of 165,787 people across 708 localities have been affected by ongoing floods and landslides across the state.

Manipur Flood Update Over 1.65 Lakh Affected, Relief Efforts Underway

Key highlights from the report include:

1 human fatality has been reported so far.

4 persons injured, though no missing cases have been recorded.

35,432 houses have sustained damage.

74 animals lost due to the disaster.

4,097 people have been evacuated and are being assisted at 82 relief camps.

149 landslide incidents have been recorded to date.

115.59 hectares of crop area has been affected, and 62 cases of infrastructure damage have been reported.

The state has not recorded any earthquake incidents during this period.

Relief and rescue operations are ongoing with coordinated efforts from:

National Disaster Response Force (NDRF)

Indian Air Force, Navy & Army

State Disaster Response Force (SDRF)

State Police, Fire Services, and boat units

Chief Secretary-led disaster response teams remain on high alert, with medical and relief camps active in affected regions. Authorities have urged residents in vulnerable areas to stay cautious and follow official advisories.
