Imphal, June 16, 2025: In response to the latest guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), the Hon’ble Governor of Manipur, Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, chaired a high-level review meeting at Raj Bhavan to assess the state’s preparedness for a potential resurgence of COVID-19.
The meeting was attended by senior officials, medical experts, and representatives from various departments. Officials briefed the Governor on key preparedness measures, including the availability and functionality of ICU facilities, oxygen supply, stockpiles of essential medicines, and the robustness of data monitoring systems.
Governor Bhalla emphasized the importance of proactive planning, seamless coordination among departments, and public awareness campaigns. He urged all stakeholders to remain alert and to further strengthen response mechanisms to ensure the state is ready to manage any possible surge in infections.

The Governor also reiterated the need for continuous monitoring and timely intervention, stating that a well-prepared health infrastructure is essential to safeguarding public health.
