Imphal, June 11, 2025: The Department of Agriculture, Government of Manipur, has issued a public notification outlining a statewide input distribution programme for fertilizer (urea) and High Yielding Variety (HYV) seeds across multiple districts. The programme will run from June 16 to June 25, 2025.
According to the notification (No. AGM-II/137/Fert/Pt-III), fertilizer (urea with neem-coated content) will be made available to farmers at designated distribution points in 54 locations across the state’s districts, including Imphal, Churachandpur, Bishnupur, Thoubal, Kakching, Senapati, Ukhrul, Tengnoupal, and others.
Farmers are eligible to collect fertilizer by presenting Aadhaar and land patta/tenant certificates at the specified locations. Those residing in geographically remote areas of a district may avail fertilizer from nearby distribution points in other districts upon special consideration.
In addition, HYV seeds - including RCM 12, RCM 13, RCM 15, and RCM 16 - will be available at the offices of District Agriculture Officers (DAOs) of the respective districts beginning June 13, 2025. The seeds will be distributed at a subsidized rate of ₹6 per kg (₹60 per hectare).

However, priority will be given to farmers already cultivating the specified HYV seed varieties. Distribution will follow field verification by officials of the Department of Agriculture.
The notice emphasizes that fertilizer distribution will continue at DAO offices even after the official distribution window ends on June 25, 2025, to ensure no farmer is left behind.
