Imphal, June 16, 2025: The Manipur Police has issued an official clarification dismissing circulating rumours about a firing incident allegedly involving Kuki militants in Phubala, located in Bishnupur district.

According to a statement released on Monday, the police confirmed that no such incident has been reported. This information has also been verified by the Security Forces currently deployed in the area.

Appealing for public cooperation, the police urged citizens not to fall prey to unverified information or social media speculation. The statement further warned that strict legal action will be taken against individuals found spreading false or misleading content aimed at creating panic or unrest.
