Cleanliness Drive at JNIMS Aims to Restore Healthcare Services Post-Flood

Imphal, June 14, 2025: In a bid to restore normalcy in the healthcare sector following the recent flash floods, the Department of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of Manipur, in collaboration with the NSS Cell of Manipur University, organized a Cleanliness Drive at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Imphal.

Held on June 14, the initiative saw active participation from NSS volunteers, Youth Officers, and Programme Officers, who joined hands with a shared sense of purpose and civic duty. Their efforts were directed towards helping the hospital resume full medical services as quickly and safely as possible.

The Government of Manipur lauded the participants for their dedication and contribution, calling the effort a significant step towards restoring essential health infrastructure in the aftermath of the disaster.

“A big salute to all participants for contributing to this vital cause,” stated the official handle of the Government of Manipur in a social media post.
