Anurag Bajpai Distributes Equipment to JFMCs & VDVKs in Churachandpur

Churachandpur, June 29, 2025 : Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & Head of Forest Force (PCCF & HoFF), Anurag Bajpai, who also serves as Additional Chief Secretary (TCI/TA & Hills), visited Churachandpur and distributed various tools and equipment to members of Joint Forest Management Committees (JFMCs) and Van Dhan Vikas Kendras (VDVKs) at a programme held at Synod Hall.

Items distributed under the Green India Mission Scheme included sewing machines, beekeeping boxes, glass jars (for VDVK villages), sports equipment, tables, and tent sets. The 11 villages with active JFMCs - such as Bongbal, S. Phaiza, and Kullian - were among the primary beneficiaries.

In his remarks, Bajpai emphasized self-reliance and dignity in livelihood. He noted that, while progress had been made, there remained much scope for development in Churachandpur.

He highlighted ongoing plans to improve infrastructure and announced that two Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) at Mata Mualtam and Singngat - are under construction and will enroll students from Class VI, providing seamless progression for those completing Class V in ADC schools.

The visit also included a review meeting with DCs of Churachandpur and Pherzawl, DFOs, and other officials, where progress of projects under 15th Finance Commission, DAJGUA, PM Vishwakarma, PMEGP, and PMFME was assessed. Bajpai also visited project sites including the Koite Handloom Cluster, Tuibong’s VDVK outlet, and the proposed industrial estate in Kanaan Veng.
