Shillong, May 15, 2025, Virthli(ONP): Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma today inaugurated the new office of SIROBILT Software Service Pvt. Ltd., a US-based technology solutions company, at the IT Park in Mawdiangdiang, Shillong. This marks a significant milestone in Meghalaya’s growing IT ecosystem.
SIROBILT becomes the fifth company to establish operations at the Shillong Tech Park, with plans to recruit up to 300 software professionals. The move is expected to create substantial employment opportunities for local youth and contribute to the development of the state’s digital economy.
“This is a major boost for our local IT landscape,” said Sangma. “The presence of SIROBILT reflects growing investor confidence and showcases the talent and potential of our youth.”
The inauguration also marks the complete occupancy of Phase I of the Shillong Tech Park. Sangma confirmed that preparations for Phase II are underway, promising expanded opportunities for tech professionals and solidifying Shillong’s status as an emerging IT hub in the Northeast.

He credited the achievement to improved infrastructure, skilled human resources, and the proactive efforts of the Meghalaya government, in coordination with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India.
