Aizawl, May 31, 2025, Virthli (ONP): The Governor of Mizoram, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and widespread destruction caused by relentless heavy rains across the state in recent days.
In a public message shared via social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the Governor conveyed heartfelt condolences to bereaved families and individuals who have lost their homes and property. “I pray for the speedy recovery of all injured,” he added, acknowledging the emotional and physical toll the ongoing disaster has taken on affected communities.
Dr. Kambhampati also praised the ongoing rescue and relief operations, commending the "tireless efforts" of all those involved despite the continuing adverse weather conditions. He urged residents, especially those living in landslide-prone and vulnerable zones, to remain on high alert and exercise maximum caution as heavy rains are expected to continue.
The message also tagged Union Minister Gen. V.K. Singh, possibly indicating coordination between state and central agencies during the disaster response phase.
