Mizo Students’ Union Appeals to Governor for CUET Exam Centres in Mizoram

VIRTHLI

Aizawl, May 20, 2025, Virthli (ONP): The Mizo Students’ Union (MSU) General Headquarters has urged the Mizoram Governor to intervene in addressing the challenges faced by students regarding the upcoming Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2025.

In a meeting held yesterday at the Raj Bhavan, MSU leaders met with Governor General Vijay Kumar Singh and submitted a memorandum highlighting that many Mizo students are being forced to appear for the exam outside the state, causing unnecessary hardship and financial strain.

MSU stated that due to inadequate arrangements and limited exam centres within Mizoram, several students were unable to register or secure feasible options to take the CUET within the state. They appealed to the Governor to take up the matter urgently with the Director General of the National Testing Agency (NTA) and also forward their concerns to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

The Governor reportedly acknowledged the seriousness of the issue and assured the MSU delegation that he would pursue the matter through the appropriate channels to ensure Mizoram-based students are not disadvantaged.
