Girls Outshine Boys Again in Mizoram Class X Exam 2025

Aizawl, April 29, 2025, Virthli (ONP): The Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) today announced the results of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC- Class X) Examination 2025 at 12:00 PM. Out of 18,946 candidates who appeared for the Class X exams, 14,527 students passed, recording a pass percentage of 76.68%. This marks an improvement over last year’s pass rate of 73.37%.

In the HSLC 2025 examination, PC Lalthakimi, daughter of Darthuama from KD High School, secured the top position overall.

This year, 24 students secured positions in the top 10 ranks. Among those who appeared for the exam, female candidates outnumbered their male counterparts, and this trend continued in the pass statistics, where 7,617 girls passed compared to 6,910 boys.

Of the 18,946 examinees, 18,603 were regular candidates, while 343 were private candidates. Among regular candidates, 14,367 passed (77.23%), and from the private category, all 343 students passed.

A total of 1,343 students passed with distinction, 3,763 in the first division, 5,785 in the second division, and 3,636 in the third division. Additionally, 64 students are eligible for compartmental exams, while 4,335 students failed.

This year, 107 schools achieved a 100% pass rate, whereas 13 schools reported zero pass rates.
