Imphal, May 21 2012: The arrest of Sangzuol on May 16 by troops of 1/11 GR under the dual command of 27 Sector AR and Red Shield Division from a house in Khawwmawi village, Churachandpur in Manipur, is another testimony to the fact that the Indian security forces posted in Churachandpur district continues to play dirty game of lies, deceit and treachery", stated Jackie Hmar, secretary, information and publicity, HPC-D today.
"Though the Indian security forces made grand claims about the arrest of an ex-HPC-(D) cadre in a special operation conducted at Khawmawi village on May 16, the truth is that Sangzuol is not an ex-HPC cadre, but a cadre of the HPC-(D), whose name also figures in the list of HPC-(D) cadres submitted to the ministry of home affairs, GoI as a part of the suspension of operations agreement signed with state and the central government", stated the Hmar outfit.
It further stated Sangzuol is a victim of conspiracy designed by a few personnel of the Indian security forces and the expelled H.Zosangbera group, whose cadres are not a part of the suspension of operation agreement, and continues to roam freely with arms, while the Army/Assam rifles chose to arrest instead a cadre who is officially a part of the suspension of operation.
