ScholarshipThe Central government has decided to revise the post matric scholarship scheme for ST students.  In a CCEA meeting presided by prime minister the proposal of the Ministry of  Tribal Affairs to substantially hike the post-matric scholarship amount and other benefits of ST students and disabled was approved.

Parental income Ceiling Raised:- from 1.45 lakh to 2 lakh per annum

Courses grouped as follows;

Group I: Degree and Post Graduate level courses (including M. Phil, Ph. D and Post Doctoralresearch) in Medicines (Allopathic, Indian and other recognized system of medicines), Engineering, Technology, Agriculture,Veterinary and Allied Sciences, Management, Business Finance, Business Administration and Computer Applications/Science. Commercial Pilot Licence (including helicopter pilot and Multi Engine rating) course.

Group I: IOther professional and technical graduate andPost Graduate (including M. Phil., Ph. D andPost Doctoral research) level courses not covered in Group I. CA/ICWA/CS/ etc. courses. All Post Graduate, Graduate level Diplomacourses, all Certificate Level Courses.

Group III: All other courses leading to a graduate or above degree (not covered in group 1 & II ).

Group IV: All post matriculation level courses before taking up graduation like classes XI and XII in10 + 2 system and intermediate examination etc., not covered in Group ‘II’ or ‘III’. ITI courses, other vocational courses (if minimum required qualification to pursue the course is atleast matriculation).
