The Indian Coast Guard (under Ministry of Defence), an Armed Force of the Union, offers a challenging and inspiring career as a Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officer in the pay scale for Assistant Commandant at Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay Rs 5400.

1.Assistant Commandant General Duty (Male)

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree with 60% Male marks in aggregate of a university recognised by the Central/ State Govt./UGC and minimum 60%  in 12th Std of  10+2+3 scheme of  education with Maths &  Physics as subjects.

Age Limit: 01 Jul 87 to 30 Jun 91 (both dates inclusive)

2.Assistant Commandant General Duty (Pilot/Navigator) – Male, Female (Unmarried)

Qualification: B.Sc with Maths & Physics and 55% marks in aggregate and minimum 60% in 12th Std of 10+2+3 scheme of education.

Age Limit: 01 Jul 85 to 30 Jun 93 (both dates inclusive)

3.Assistant Commandant (Commercial Pilot License) for Short Service Appointment – Male, Female (Unmarried)

Qualification: 12th class passed or equivalent with 60% marks and should possess current /valid Commercial Pilot license (CPL)

Age Limit: 01 Jul 85 to 30 Jun 93 (both dates inclusive)

4. Assistant Commandant General Duty(Women) (Unmarried)

Qualification: Bachelor's degree with 60% marks in aggregate of a university recognised by the Central/ State Govt./UGC and minimum 60% in 12th Std of 10+2+3 scheme of education with Maths & Physics as subjects.

Age Limit: 01 Jul 87  to 30 Jun 91  (both dates inclusive)

5.Assistant Commandant Technical (Mechanical & Aeronautical) – Male

Qualification: Degree with 60% marks in aggregate in Naval architecture / Mechanical/ Marine/Design/Production /Aeronautical/ Auto motive / Mechtronics / Industrial and Production/ Metallurgy/ Design / Aeronautical / Aerospace/ Control & Production.

Age Limit: 01 Jul 82  to 30 Jun 91 (both dates inclusive)
