UPSC : Recruitment of Assistant Commandants in CAPF 2012

The Union Public Service Commission will hold a Written Examination on 11th November, 2012 for recruitment of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) viz. Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree of any recognised university or an equivalent qualification.

Age Limit: Not less than 20 years and not more than 25 years as on 1st August, 2012. The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.

Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.

Sex : Both male and female candidates are eligible for appointment to CRPF and CISF. However, only male candidates are eligible for appointment to BSF, ITBP and SSB.

Qualification:

1. General Duty: Bachelor’s degree with minimum 60% marks in aggregate of a university recognised by the Central/ State Govt./UGC. Should have qualified 12th standard with aggregate of 60% marks in Physics and Maths.

An examination will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission on 19th August, 2012 for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 130th course, and for the 92nd Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from July, 2013

Educational Qualifications :
(i) For Army wing of National Defence Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equilvalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.

 Indian Air Force invites application  fro'm UNMARRIED MALE INDIAN CITIZENS (citizens of Nepal are also eligible) for selection test in August 2012 to join as Airmen in Group ‘X’ (Technical) trades.

Qualification :(a) Candidate should have passed Intermediate or 10+2 or Equivalent Examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. OR (b) Candidate should have passed a Three year Diploma course in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics or Automobile or Computer Science or Instrumentation Technology or Information Technology) with at least 50% marks in overall aggregate fro'm a Government recognized Polytechnic Institute.

Pay Scale : During training, a stipend of Rs. 8,550/-pm will be paid. On completion of training, starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay including Dearness Allowance (DA), for Group ‘X’ (Technical) trades will be Rs. 20,542/- per month (approximately), which, in subsequent years, may rise up to Rs. 36,250/- per month (approximately) depending upon the rank attained. Other allowances such as Transport allowance, Composite personal maintenance allowance (CPMA), Leave Ration allowance (LRA), Family planning allowance, HRA etc. are also admissible to airmen.

New Delhi, April 17: Home minister P. Chidambaram today announced that candidates aspiring to join the central armed police forces fro'm Tripura, Mizoram and Manipur can write their recruitment exams in Bengali, Mizo and Meitei.

“We have issued orders asking the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), which is holding the examinations, that candidates fro'm Mizoram, Manipur and Tripura should be allowed to write the exam in Mizo, Manipuri and Bengali languages, respectively,” he said.

Bengali, spoken by the majority in Tripura, and Meitei, spoken by most in the Manipur valley, are already on the list of 22 languages in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution. This means papers are in any case set in these languages. Only Mizo is not part of the Schedule. It is written in the Roman script.

UPSC NDA and Naval Academy Examination 2012

An Examination will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission on 15th April, 2012 for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 129th Course, and for the 91st Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from December 2012. The candidates Joining Indian Naval Academy would undergo 4 years B.Tech Course and would be given an opportunity to join Executive and Technical Branches of the Navy subject to availability of vacancies.

Educational Qualifications :

(i) For Army wing of National Defence Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Indian Army Recruitment for NCC 'C' Certificate holders 2012

Indian Army invites applications fro'm unmarried/married male and unmarried female or widow of defence candidates  for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Indian Army.

No. of  Vacancies : 58 posts (50 posts for male and 08 posts for women (10% reserved for wards of Battle Casualties of Army only)]

Age Limit : Not below 19 years and not over 25 years (not born earlier than 02 July 1987 and not later than 01 July 1993)

Eligibilty: The Criteria of NCC 'C' Certificate holders to appear directly for SSB for SSC (Non-Technical) at Officers Training Academy, Chennai : (i) Educational Qualification : Degree of a recognised University or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all years. (ii) Service in NCC : Should have served for minimum two academic years in the senior Division of NCC (iii) Grading : Should have minimum of 'B' Grade in 'C' Certificate Exam of NCC.

Wards of Battle Casualties : Holding of NCC 'C' Certificate at the time of filling of applications not required. Wards of Battle Casualties send their applications direct to Addl. Dte. Gen of Recruiting, Recruiting NCC Entry, West Block-III, R.K. Puram, New Delhi-110066. A letter to the effect that the parent has been killed/ wounded/ reported missing in action issued by MP/Dte/ Respective Regimental Records and a copy of Part II Order notifying injuries and being classified as Battle Casualtieis in case of Service/Medically boarded out pers. Last date for receipt of application at Rtg Dte 15/02/2012 for this category.

Pay Scale & Stipend : Stipend during the period of training is Rs.21000/-. On completion they will be commissioned as Lt in the pay scale of Rs.15600-39100 wth Grade Pay 5400 and MSP Rs.6000/- and other allowances.

Method of Selection : All Applications in the prescribed format will be forwarded to Rtg. Directorate (NCC) through HQ DG NCC. The NCC Units/GP HQs will forward the applications to State Directorates who in turn will forward the same to Hq DG NCC. On arrival at the SSB, the Shortlisted candidates will be administered stage-1 of the two stage testing procedure.

Medical Examination : Candidates recommended by the SSB will go under Medical Examination by a Board of Service Medical Officers.

How to Apply: Apply on the plain paper as per the prescribed format. Applications should be posted to the Units fro'm where the NCC 'C' certificate has been issued. Applications of candidates serving in the Armed Forces duly counter-signed by the commanding Officer should be sent to the OC, NCC West Block- IV , R.K. Puram, New Delhi - 110066. All NCC units will forward the application to DDG, NCC of the concerned state. DDG NCC will process all applications and forward them to Dte Gen NCC.
