Appearing for Joint Management Entrance Test 2011 (JMET 2011) is the first step in the process of seeking admission to the Post-Graduate Programmes in Management offered by IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee to the 2-YEAR FULL TIME Post-Graduate Degree Programmes in Management offered by IISc and the IITs for the academic year beginning July/Aug 2011

JMET 2011 is only a qualifying examination. Candidates have to apply separately to the Institutes of their choice. They are also advised to look up the details provided in the brochure about the programmes available in the participating Institutes. There is no limit to the number of programmes a candidate can apply to, so long as he or she meets the eligibility criteria.

Commencement of submission of data for ONLINE Application: Monday, September 6, 2010
Last date for submission of Application Form
Submission of data for Online Application (website closure): Friday, 8 Oct 2010 (6.00pm)
Last date for mailing the admit cards : Friday,12 Nov. 2010
Date of Entrance: Sunday, December 12, 2010
Announcement of JMET 2011 Results: Monday January 3, 2010

HOW to APPLY: Application Form has to be submitted ONLINE. ONLINE submission of application can be done by accessing the website of any of the IITs or IISc. There are two modes of applying based on the method of fee payment that you choose.
1. By Core Banking
2. By Demand Draft
The application fee is Rs.350/- for ST. After applying ONLINE, there are some documents that you will have to post to the "Chairman, GATE Office, IISc Bangalore-560012".
 

ELIGIBILITY: A list of Management Programmes and eligibility criteria to apply for these programmes in individual Institutes are given below.Students in their final year of qualifying degree course are also eligible to apply.
Candidates will be required to appear in a single paper of three hours duration. The examination will be held from 10:00 hrs to 13:00 hrs on Sunday, December 12, 2010.The question paper will be in english only.
