CAT 2010: Notification, Important Dates and Paper Pattern

The Notification for CAT 2010, which is going to be held from 27th October, 2010 to 24th November, 2010. Cat 2010 Notification has been declared . Online registrations are open from Monday, 30 August 2010 – Thursday, 30 September 2010. The online CAT 2010 Exam will be a two and a half hour paper including a 15 minute tutorial. It will consist of 60 questions distributed over 3 sections viz. QA, VA & DILR. CAT 2010 results will be declared on 12 January 2011

Sale of Vouchers and Forms : The CAT 2010 Vouchers can be obtained from selected branches of Axis Bank during and in between 30th August 2010 to 27th September 2010 for Rs. 700/-(ST candidates). One candidate should buy only one voucher with his original name depicted in his School Leaving Certificate.
Eligibility: Bachelors degree with 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of ST).
Axis Bank Branches in India and States for Vouchers: Rs. 700/- is value of IIM CAT(www.catiim.in) 2010 Vouchers which can be obtained from Various Selected AXIS Bank Branches. To get list of Axis Bank Branches Selling the Application forms please check this out at official website of IIM CAT 2010 (listed below).
 

Registration: Registration Dates for IIM CAT 2010 is from 30th August 2010 to 30th September 2010. For registration candidate should get a CAT 2010 Voucher fromAxis Bank Branches for Rs. 700/- (SC/ST).
 

Test Centers and  Admit Cards: IIM CAT 2010 will be conducted in following cities: Ahmedabad, Banagalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Durgapur, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, Gurgaon, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kolkata, Khozikode, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Navi Mumbai, Noida, Patna, Pune, Ranchi, Shillong, Silguri, Varanasi and Vishakapatnam.
 

Admit Cards can be downloaded from the Official website before the 30th September 2010. Without proper Hall Ticket you will not be allowed to sit in TestWindow.
 

Test Paper Pattern : The duration of the test is 2 hours and 30 minutes including initial 15 minute tutorial. No breaks will be given during the test. The test consists of questions that evaluate a candidate’s quantitative, verbal, and logical & data interpretation abilities. Therefore, there are a total of three sections in the test. There will be about 60 questions in the test. At the test venue, each candidate will be seated at a desk with a computer terminal and he/she will be provided with a scratch paper for calculations. After the test, candidate must leave the scratch paper at the desk. Rough work cannot be done on any other paper/sheet, as nothing will be allowed inside the testing room.
