Churachandpur, November 13, 2025: The Kuki Students’ Organisation (KSO), Churachandpur has strongly condemned the arson attack on the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Tuibong, which occurred on the night of November 10, 2025.
In a statement issued by its Department of Information & Publicity, the student body described the incident as a heinous and deliberate act intended to destroy critical administrative records. The fire reportedly gutted several official documents and equipment, including files related to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the district.
KSO Churachandpur asserted that the attack was not mere vandalism, but a targeted attempt to erase sensitive data concerning displaced families. The organization urged authorities to conduct a swift and thorough investigation to identify and bring the perpetrators to justice.
The statement also appealed to the public to protect and respect public institutions, emphasizing that such facilities exist to serve the people and the community at large.
