Pherzawl, Nov 6: The District Administration, Pherzawl, in collaboration with the District Health Society and the District Social Welfare Office, recently organized a series of awareness programmes under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) across villages in Tipaimukh and Vangai Range Sub-Division.
Held under the theme “Say No to Drugs and Yes to Life,” the campaign sought to combat substance abuse and promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. Shri Joel G. Haokip, ADC/DSWO and Nodal Officer of NMBA, led the initiative, urging the youth to focus on education and skill development while calling on community leaders to unite for a drug-free society.
Awareness sessions were conducted in Patpuihmun, Phulpui, Ngampabung, Thingkal, Kangreng, and Parvachom, drawing active participation from ASHA and Anganwadi workers, nurses, and local residents. Participants pledged to work collectively to curb drug abuse and build a healthier community.
